Interviewing three individuals with ties to Lucky Apartments, the information compiled gave us an understanding of what it means to be lucky and how the development of the new University Square changed the perception they had of the community. It changed the local Madison community from being a place of comfort to a place that divided groups of people by income and status.
The shared and common experience amongst these individuals is that Lucky set a precedence for a structure that was not present in the past. Looking at the featured videos, what is missing is what makes Lucky unique. The experiences shared by this resident is identical to those living in University Housing.
